A GREYISH CELADON BELT PLAQUE IN THE FORM OF A QILIN, YUAN/MING (1260-1644)
carved in high relief, the recumbent beast neatly curled back in on itself, its tail hugging the sides of its scrolling rear leg, the horn issuing from its forehead following the line of its angled spine, a lingzhi spray clasped within its mouth, a line of natural black inclusions running through its face and into its body, the underside with four sets of drill holes in a square formation -- 3 3/8in. (8.7cm.) wide.
