A MEISSEN GILT-METAL MOUNTED RECTANGULAR SNUFF-BOX
CIRCA 1750, THE MOUNTS 18TH CENTURY
Painted in the manner of Watteau with gallants and companions by monuments in wooded landscapes, one side with Pierrot seated on a stone plinth, the interior of the cover with four finely dressed ladies before a vase on a plinth (chips to two corners of cover, one with associated hairline crack, slight wear to underside)
