A VIENNA TRANSPARENT-ENAMELLED FLARED BEAKER (RANFTBECHER)

Decorated in the workshop of Anton Kothgasser with Cupid caged, his broken arrow and quiver beside him before a wooded landscape, within an amber-stained and gilt panel with a border of flowerheads and leaves above the inscription Pour avoir volè des coeurs., reserved against a narrow flashed band reserved with gilt meandering tendrils, on a cog-wheel cut foot and star-cut and amber-stained base (minute chip to footrim, with rubbing to gilding)
