The coffer decorated overall with cartouches of watery landscapes within mother-of-pearl borders, divided by flowered trellis bands, the domed lid enclosing a black-painted interior decorated with golden pheasants, the sides with carrying-handles, on a stand with pierced scrolling foliage with putti, the angles with putti emerging from foliage, on scrolled feet, the inner hinge replaced, with traces of the original purple silk lid restrainer, the stand redecorated and originally silvered, restorations to the coffer decoration
