The case with stepped and moulded pediment, canted angles with lozenge inlays and flanking an ebonised urn-shaped cistern cover with ivory float, the trunk applied with a silvered and engraved Fahrenheit and Reaumur thermometer scale for mercury thermometer with spiral-twist brass cistern cover, the silvered and engraved register plates with Vernier scale and signed 'GEORDON LONDON', with brass cap to the tube; bone Vernier key; mercury removed
