The shape of the baluster shaft, drip-pans and droplets of this chandelier closely relate to a design for a chandelier by the Birmingham based chandelier manufacture F. and C. Osler (See M. Mortimer, The English Glass Chandelier, 2000, p. 158, pl. 96). The hanging-droplets seen on this chandelier first appear on chandeliers in England around 1810.
