The back, arms and seat covered in white floral-embroidered silk, with sphinx-carved arm supports, with some later ebonized decoration and traces of metal inlay and the legs probably with further inlay

Lot Essay

Jacob Frères, Rue Meslée, was the stamp used by Georges II Jacob and François-Honoré-Georges Jacob during their collaboration from 1797-1803.
