Mounted in a glazed display case with foliage, the reverse with pencil inscription 'Kestral/Caught by J.D.Colson/near Loscombe/September 1874'
15 in. (38 cm.) high; 13 in. (33 cm.) wide; 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) deep
Together with late Victorian taxidermy cased Sparrow Hawk (Accipiter nisus), late 19th century, with paper label to front 'Deposited by Mr Hilier, Devizes'
16 in. (40.6 cm.) high; 11¾ in. (30 cm.) wide; 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) deep
and a Victorian taxidermy cased Scops Owl (Otus scops), 19th century
