A MEISSEN 'SWAN SERVICE' TUREEN AND COVER
20TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS AND PRESSNUMMERN
After the 18th century original by Kaendler and Eberlein, of oval form, the cover modelled with Galatea seated on a dolphin with a male figure, probably Acis, beside her, each holding up an arch of drapery, the tureen with mermen handles, moulded and applied with shells, coral and crustacea flanking the arms of Count Bruhl, and painted with kakiemon sprigs, supported on four scrolling feet, two moulded with dolphins and two with the head of Neptune
