A Swiss silver and enamel-mounted eight day carriage timepiece with alarm
Rau & Steinmeyer, Geneva/Pforzheim, No.13517. Late 19th Century
The corniche case mounted with bright polychrome side panels, off-white enamel chapter disc with gilt dot minute markers and blue Arabic numerals (red 12), the twin barrels movement with silvered platform to lever balance, the back plate mounted with enamel alarm-setting disc and alarm gong, stamped 'RAU & STEINMEYER/GENEVE PFORZHEIM' and numbered '13517'
