MARK OF JEAN-LOUIS STRAUS, STRASBURG, CIRCA 1750
The écuelle circular, applied with two shell-motif handles, the detachable cover with double ovolo borders and flower finial, the conforming stand with ovolo border, each piece engraved with foliage scrolls on matted ground and engraved with a coat-of-arms below a coronet, marked underneath écuelle and underneath stand
the écuelle 11 in. (28 cm.) wide over handle
the stand 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) diam.
