MARK OF HERMANN RATZERSDORFER, VIENNA, CIRCA 1875
Circular, and with central boss finely enamelled and gilded with a figure of Amphitrite reclining on scaly dolphin attended by putti, one holding a crown and with two love birds within a vine border enamelled in green, white, and blue and further outer border of female masks within blue, white, red and green scrolls, the outer rim with panels of rock crystal carved with foliate scrolls and with eight straps cast, chased and enamelled with grotesque bearded masks cartouches between, marked underneath
10 in. (25 cm.) diam.
