THE CENTREPIECE MARK OF ELKINGTON, 1858, THE DESSERT STANDS APPARENTLY UNMARKED 20TH CENTURY
The trefoil base with foliage border, supporting three cast figures, depicting a monk, a fish seller and a game hunter, with central trefoil base wrapped with fruiting grapevines, with foliage and arch gallery, supporting cut glass bowl, applied with two plaques, each engraved with an inscription, the dessert stands each cast with foliage and with a putto, with an iron-bound oak trunk
the centrepiece 24½ in. (62 cm.) high excluding glass bowl
