MARK OF ROBERT GARRARD, LONDON, 1818
Campana-shaped on circular spreading foot cast and chased with band of acanthus foliage, with two acanthus-leaf bracket handles with satyr mask terminals, the domed cover with guilloche and beaded borders and acanthus bud finial, the lower body applied with cast acanthus foliage and below the lip with a band of trailing vines, engraved with an inscription, marked on side and inside cover, the foot engraved 'R. GARRARD & BROTHERS, PANTON STREET, FECERUNT'

The inscription reads 'Given by The Representatives in Parliament of the Four Counties and won at Aberdeen by RODERICK The Property The Right Honble The Earl of Kintore. Beating the Marquis of Huntly's Teddy, Mr. Maules' Bolivar and General Mackenzie's The Miller At the Aberdeen, Forfar, Kincardine & Banff Meeting. 16th September 1818'
