DOMAINE RAMONET
Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru--Vintage 1988
Domaine-bottled: Ramonet
Lightly bin-soiled and creased label, vintage slip label stained
Vintage note: A good vintage and deservedly popular when it came on to the market. But the yield was high and the wines of those producers who did not prune hard or select diligently tended to lack concentration. But there were quite a few ripe, fresh, well-balanced wines. As always, the lesser wines will have long since been consumed, few surviving on lists beyond the mid-1990s but the finest are still drinking well. ***. Michael Broadbent, Vintage Wine
