Vintage note: Despite a difficult growing season a remarkably good vintage for the whites. Some Côte de Beaune producers considered them superior to the '97s. By and large, firm, elegant, fragrant wines and some good aromatic Chablis. These are classic white burgundies for mid-term drinking.
