18th Century, marked for de porceleyne bijl
(maandbordjes) Decorated with a genre scene underneath a caption inscribed with a month, comprising: one Jannuary with a winterscene with skaters; one Feberuary with a homely scene around a table; one Maart with a formal garden; one April with a gallant couple in a formal garden; one Mey with a gallant couple in amorous pursuit; one Juny with peasants shearing sheep; one July with a scene en suite to the preceding; one Augustus with gentlemen counting bales of hay; one October with gentlemen tasting wine beside barrels; one November with peasants slaughtering a pig and one Dezember with lumberjacks beside a frozen pond (one dish repaired)
