'SANGLIER', A PATINATED BRONZE SCULPTURE BY FRANCOIS POMPON, DESIGNED IN 1926, CAST BETWEEN 1927 AND 1930
Only seven examples of this model executed during the artist's lifetime, are known to exist, all cast in 1927. The proof example of this model is in the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy.
This lot will be sold with a certificate of authentication from Mrs. Liliane Colas

L'exemplaire 'modèle' de cette oeuvre est conservé au Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon. Deux épreuves sont exposées respectivement au Musée de Saulieu et de Lyon. On connait aujourd'hui sept épreuves exécutées du vivant de l'artiste, toutes fondues en 1927.
