A porcelain armorial dinner plate for the Grand Duke Paul Petrovich Service
by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, period of Alexander II
Shaped circular, the centre painted and gilded with the coat of arms held by an Imperial double-headed eagle, with gilt openwork, moulded lattice border and scalloped rim, marked under base
10 1/8 in. (25.8 cm.)
The coat of arms are the Imperial arms of Russia accolled with the arms of Holstein-Gottorp.
