A rectangular snuff-box, the hinged cover with a square portrait of Peter the Great, painted on mother-of-pearl, in gilt bezel, marked inside cover; a rectangular tea-caddy painted with 'Demian's Fish Soup' after A. A. Popov; together with an oval snuff-box depicting 'At the Fence' after K. Trutovskii, both apparently unmarked; and a tapering cylindrical beaker with painted troika racing through the night, marked under base

The first snuff-box with Peter the Great portrait comes with hand-written certificate from the representative of Sir W.G. Armstrong, Whitworth & Co., Ltd, Mr. Boris Averkieff, C. M. G., stating that the box previously belonged to a Russian gentleman, Mr. A. A. Arseniev, who, before the revolution was a very well known collector and the owner of large estates in the Tula region.
