A circular box, the detachable cover set with an oval miniature of Octave de Choiseul-Gouffier as a child, with blue sash and order, signed and inscribed, lower right, the border, sides and base applied with silver paillons; a rectangular snuff-box with rounded corners, the hinged cover, sides and base applied with piqué silver stars and dots, the side angles and thumb-piece with flowers, the interior painted to simulate tortoiseshell, both marked inside covers; a circular rounded box, the cover painted with an officer holding two horses, marked under base; another, similar, smaller, depicting Alexander I on the horseback; a circular snuff-box, the cover finely painted with a portrait of Count Platov; two circular metal studs painted with peasants, all apparently unmarked and an oval brooch painted with troika in the snow, marked on the reverse

The inside of the cover of the box with miniature of Octave de Choiseul with the Russian inscription which translates as 'Received from Tosin'ka 13 March 1848'. (8)
