De forme octogonale, ornés au centre des armes de la Famille Loof d'Amsterdam, entourées sur l'aile d'une guirlande de feuilles, le marli reprenant les armes en plus petit, la bordure agrémentée d'une frise de fleurs de lys ; quelques petites égrenures

Lot Essay

According to Dr Jochem Kroes, Chinese Armorial Porcelain for the Dutch Market, Waanders Publishers, Zwolle, The Netherlands, 2007, p. 248-9, these arms are of the Loofs family of Amsterdam, and the service dates to 1750-53, having been commissioned by Abraham Loofs (1704-63) a VOC official.
