STS. SERGEI, PETER AND PARASKEVA RUSSIAN, 19TH CENTURY
The three saints portrayed frontally, each looking in a different direction and holding a scroll; St. Peter in the center carrying his attributes, the keys, and displaying his open scroll, flanked by the two monastic saints both attired in vestments bearing the Great Schema, St. Sergei blessing, St. Paraskeva carrying a martyr's cross; their facial features painted in fine detail, wearing prominent golden haloes, their garments rendered with sombre colours with gilt folds 33¼ x 15¾ in. (84.5 x 40 cm)
