After Greta Garbo left Hollywood for New York, she left a number of personal possessions behind, including this watch. Eventually the watch came into the possession of Mike Romanoff, the Hollywood restaurateur, who, in turn, sold it to Henry Fonda. The vendor of this lot was given this watch as an engagement present by her future husband, Henry Fonda.
