A GILT-METAL CAGEWORK GLASS SCENT BOTTLE
POSSIBLY FRENCH, CIRCA 1765
The faceted blue glass bottle of flattened pear shape, the mounts chased with a seated couple amidst fruiting vines and trailing foliage, screw off cap, glass stopper; together with a Continental gilt-metal example, circa 1720, inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels chased with stylised foliage, centred by an oval cartouche on both sides, one of which is engraved with a basket of fruit, pull-out oval stopper
Respectively, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) and 3 3/8 in. (8.7 cm.) high (2)
