FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT to his daughter: "Frank Lloyd Wright to his daughter Catherine. Dec. 7 49." Written in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Art, In the Nature of Materials is the first major work on Frank Lloyd Wright. It soon became a standard text and served to bring Wright's architecture to a broader audience. A FINE ASSOCIATION COPY, inscribed to Catherine Wright, one of six children from his first marriage to Kitty Tobin Wright. [With:] A black and white photograph, presumably of Catherine.
