4 volumes, 8o (192 x 118mm). 4-page publisher's catalogue at end of volume one and 3-page at the end of volume 4. Frontispiece portrait, 37 engraved maps by or after Herman Moll (19 folding), 28 engraved plates (4 folding) (one or two repaired at an early date on verso). (Title-page with small repair at fore-edge, a few pale stains.) Modern paneled calf antique. Provenance: Thos Hill (near contemporary inscription on title-page of volume one); R.R. Butcher Library (penciled inscription on recto of front free endpaper of volume one).

An early collected edition of Dampier's voyages, with those of Lionel Wafer, Capts. Cowley, Sharp and Wood, and Mr. Roberts, relating their discoveries, and describing some of the fauna and flora in the Americas and Australasia. With title-pages for the seventh edition of Dampiers's A New Voyage Round the World and the third edition of Dampier's A Voyage to New-Holland, &c. In the Year 1699 in volumes one and 3 respectively.
