QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Comprising three large brush handles, each post ending in a loop at one end, the main shaft finely carved in relief with two sinuous confronted dragons with bifurcated tails and long bushy mane between a 'flaming pearl', against a ruyi-cloud ground; and a scroll weight of rectangular form, the upper surface carved in high relief with a pair of confronted sinuous dragons divided by an ingot at the centre, the reverse flat side with an apocryphal inscription
