ATTRIBUTED TO THE LEAGROS GROUP, CIRCA 520-500 B.C.
The panel on the body with a departure scene, with a youthful charioteer holding the reins of the four horse team, a fully armed hoplite standing beside the chariot, a draped woman to the right gesturing with her raised right arm, a draped figure standing to the right holding a staff, with a wreath of vines in his hair; framed on either side by double bands of ivy, a band of palmettes below; the shoulder panel with two hoplites spearing a crouching combatant, the hoplite to the left with a Boeotian shield, that to the right with a circular shield, three spheres as the device, and the crouching warrior with a circular shield, a panther head as the device, the scene framed by a horseman on either side; alternating red and black tongues above; rays above the foot, extensive graffiti on the underside of the foot
