This service was ordered originally for the coronation of Emperor Alexander III in 1882 and consisted of 19,000 pieces. Another order was later repeated from the Kornilov factory for the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II and the size was significantly increased. This service was added to and used regularly right up until the outbreak of World War I
