The backs of the bowls decorated with stylised lotus flowers issuing from a fleur-de-lys in green, red, violet and two shades of blue, the handles similarly decorated with foliage, terminating in a shield depicting the arms of Moscow on a red enamel ground, each individual spoon engraved with an inventory number
