The case on foliate feet, with flower-spray pilasters to the angles , pierced brass sound frets to the sides, the bell top with four pineapple finials and a carrying handle, the glazed arched door enclosing an arched painted dial with silvered chapter ring with tune regulation, blued hands and matted centre signed Marwick Markham London, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement, the music playing on eight bells via sixteen hammers, with hour strike on further bell, the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage and signed Marwick Markham London, with pendulum holdfast and similarly engraved securing brackets
