Lot Essay

William Frederick Charles, son of King Frederick I of Württemberg and his first wife Augusta of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, married Charlotte of Bavaria in 1808 (and was divorced in 1814) and secondly Catherine Pavlovna, Grand Duchess of Russia in 1816 and thirdly Pauline of Württemberg in 1820.
