Built in the 16th century, the Palazzo d'Avalos del Vasto was the Naples residence of the d'Avalos family. Originally from Spain the family enjoyed great military and political success under the Aragon crown in Naples and received the titles of Marquis of Pescara and of Vasto. With its monumental Renaissance façade, the palace situated in the via dei Mille, and restored in the 18th century by the renowned architect Mario Gioffredo (1718-1785) still reflects the prominent role of the family at the time.
