Château Trotanoy--Vintage 1982
Pomerol
Levels: bottom neck or better
"Sadly, the bottle tasted in Philadelphia was corked. A bottle from my cellar was close to full maturity, exhibiting plenty of amber to its dense ruby/garnet color in addition to abundant sweet black cherry fruit, smoky, mineral, earth, and dried herb aromas. Fleshy, spicy, and full-bodied, with the vintage's tell-tale succulence, high glycerin, and low acidity giving the wine a fat, plush personality, this 1982 should drink well for another decade, although it is clearly within its plateau of maturity." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #129 (Jun 2000)
