AN UNUSUAL PERSIAN ENAMELLED KULAH-KHUD

With domed skull chiselled with a series of large cartouches filled with arabesque interlace, similar small cartouches between, a band of cartouches encircling the base, alternately filled with flowers and pious invocations, all picked-out in koftgari (rubbed), all in low relief on a transluscent red enamel ground, and fitted with sliding nasal, plume-holders, spike and camail of iron and brass butted rings
