AN INDIAN TALWAR WITH SILVER-ENCRUSTED IRON HILT AND BLADE OF WOOTZ STEEL

With curved blade double-edged towards the point and retaining a pronounced nodular watered pattern throughout, the hilt profusely encrusted with silver patterns of beadwork and flowers, with silver loop for a tassel, and in a velvet-covered scabbard with large silver mounts chased with flowers and elephants (fitted with a later silver reinforce along the back)
