With single-edged fullered blade (patches of rust staining and light pitting), copper hilt including bow-tie quillons engraved with the badge of the Order together with the royal cypher, the reverse decorated with shamrock sprays, the grip en suite, and in its original scabbard with engraved middle-band and locket, the latter signed by the cutler (the hilt and scabbard mounts previously gilt, the scabbard worn and incomplete)
