A LOW COUNTRIES FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL SIGNED CORBEAU, MAESTRICHT

With tapering barrel struck with a mark, a fleur-de-lys crowned, signed plain bevelled lock, moulded figured walnut full stock (replaced, probably within the working life of the pistol), full brass mounts cast in low relief, almost certainly the original, including spurred pommel with grotesque mask cap, pierced side-plate involving a monster and carrying an oval classical bust, and later ramrod (the barrel and lock each with wear and light pitting).
