The first with turn-off cannon barrel, signed brass box-lock action engraved with rococo scrolls, later walnut butt retaining the original demon mask cap cast in low relief, and brass trigger-guard (engraving rubbed, action defective); the second with swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with microgroove rifled bore and signed 'Fourni par Lirmel à Paris', engraved lock, full stock, and iron mounts (the cock a coarse replacement, wear and pitting throughout)
