Une collection parisienne, Provenant d'un appartement décoré par Jansen dans les années 1950. A collection from a Paris residence, Decorated by Jansen in the 1950's. Fondée en 1880 à Paris, la Maison Jansen fut pendant cent ans la plus importante maison de décoration internationale. Elle compta parmi ses clients les plus grandes figures artistiques, politiques et mondaines de son temps, comme Jacqueline Kennedy pour la Maison Blanche, le Shah d'Iran ou le duc et la duchesse de Windsor. Propulsé par de grands décorateurs travaillant pour la maison comme Stéphane Boudin, "le got Jansen" connut son apogée après la seconde guerre mondiale. Les plus beaux appartements de l'époque, comme celui dont nous vendons le contenu aujourd'hui, leur étaient confiés. Véritable temoin d'une époque aujourd'hui révolue, la maison ferma en 1989. Founded in 1880 in Paris, Maison Jansen was during a hundred years the most important international house of decoration. It counted among its clients the grandest artistic figures, political and socialites of their time, like Jacqueline Kennedy for the White House, the Shah of Iran or the Duc and Duchesse of Windsor. Powered by the grand decorators working for the house , such as Stphane Boudin, "le got Jansen" flourished after the Second World War. The most beautiful apartments of the time have been entrusted to Maison Jansen, like the one whose contents we are selling today. A real witness of an era now gone, Maison Jansen closed in 1989
