Two Chinese blue and white 'kraak porselein klapmuts' bowls and a dish
Wanli (1573-1619)
Comprising a 'klapmuts' bowl painted to the centre with 'scholar's objects', hairline crack, 14.3 cm. diam.; a bowl decorated to the interior with a roundel including a river landscape, below ogival panels at the well, the rim with floral decorations, 21.7 cm. diam.; and a dish decorated to the centre with a star-shaped medallion including 'scholar's objects', encircled at the well by medallions of fruits and further symbols, re-stuck rim chip, 21 cm. diam.
