A group of six Chinese wucai jars and two famille rose saucers
Mid 17th Century, Qianlong (1736-1795) and 19th Century
The wucai jars of different baluster shape, variously decorated with phoenix, buddhistic lions, the 'laughing boys' and flower scrolls, two with wood covers, one small repair, minor damage, 12.5-17 cm. high; a 'European subject' saucer depicting two amorous couples in a hilly landscape, small hairlines, 13.3 cm. diam.; and a saucer depicting a Chinese couple, 14.5 cm. diam.
