Lot Essay

Percy Hutton Fearon, or 'Poy', was born in Shanghai on 6th September 1874 and studied at the Students' League in New York and Herkomer's School in Bushey, England. He lived in London, and from 1913 he contributed political cartoons, such as these, to the Evening Standard.
