Couronné de laurier, présenté de profil tourné vers la gauche; dans une monture ovale en bronze doré sur un fond poncé, enchâssé dans une épitaphe d'époque postérieure en ébène, incrustée de pierres dures et de marbre moucheté

A CARVED OVAL HELIOTROPE CAMEO HEAD OF AN EMPEROR
LATE 16TH OR 17TH CENTURY
Wreathed with laurel, facing in profile to the left; in an oval gilt-bronze mount on pounced ground within a later ebony epitaph frame inlaid with hardstones and variegated marble
