Hector partant au combat, entièrement armé, se tournant vers sa femme Andromaque, alors que leur fils Astynax, se cramponne à sa nourrice; fixé par des griffes sur un fond circulaire en bois, enchâssé dans un cadre carré associé en bois monté sur bronze doré, décoré de paires de lyres en relief

Hector setting off to fight, fully armed, turning towards his wife Andromache, while their son Astynax, clings to his nurse; secured by claws to a circular wooden ground within an associated square gilt-bronze-mounted wood frame decorated in relief with pairs of lyres
