Représentant trois hommes versant du raisin dans une cuve et le pressant en premier plan, avec deux balances sur le bord supérieur et l'inscription 'OCTOBRE.' en lettres rouges en bas, le marli orné de satyres et de putti dans des chars fantastiques, le tout surmonté des armoiries de la famille Chaspoux de Verneuil; le revers agrémenté du portrait d'Octavien de profil et portant l'inscription 'AMPEREVX OCTO HVICT EXME' en lettres rouges, le marli orné de volutes feuillagées, légères craquelures de cuisson

A CIRCULAR PARCEL-GILT POLYCHROME ENAMEL PLATE REPRESENTING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
ATTRIBUTED TO PIERRE REYMOND, CIRCA 1570-1580
Depicting three men pouring grapes into a vat and pressing them in the foreground, with a pair of scales to the top edge and inscribed in red 'OCTOBRE.' to the bottom, with an outer border of satyrs and putti drawn in fantastical chariots, with a coat of arms of the family Chaspoux de Verneuil to the top; the reverse with a profile portrait of Octavian and inscribed in red 'AMPEREVX OCTO HVICT EXME', with a border of foliate scrolls, minor firing cracks
