Le centre avec des personnages semant et labourant, des bâtisses et des ruines antiques en arrière-plan, le haut de la scène orné d'un homard stylisé, le bas portant l'inscription '.SEPTEMBRE.' ; la scène encadrée d'une bordure de figures de grotesques dans des chars stylisés, surmontée des armoiries de la famille Chaspoux de Verneuil ; le revers représentant le profil de l'empereur Néron encadré de l'inscription 'NERON. LE. CRVEL. SISZIEME. AMPEREUX', le marli décoré de rinceaux; portant une étiquette en papier avec l'inscription 'BERNHEIMER MUNCHEN/1864 gegr.'

WORKSHOP OF PIERRE REYMOND, CIRCA 1570-1580
The center with figures sowing seeds and ploughing, with houses and classical ruins in the background, the top of the scene decorated with a stylised lobster, inscribed to the bottom '.SEPTEMBRE.'; the scene framed with a decorated border of grotesque figures in stylised chariots and with the coat of arms of the family Chaspoux de Verneuil to the top, the reverse with a profile portrait of the Emperor Nero and framed by the inscription 'NERON. LE. CRVEL. SISZIEME. AMPEREUX', and with an outer border of foliate scroll-work; with a paper label to the reverse inscribed 'BERNHEIMER MUNCHEN/1864 gegr.'
