COUVERCLE DE SARCOPHAGE ANTHROPOMORPHE AU NOM DE HOR-EM-AKHET
EGYPTE, EPOQUE ROMAINE, IER SIECLE APRES J.C.
En bois, coiffé d'une épaisse perruque frisée et crantée à longs pans terminés par de larges bandes ornées chacune de quatre uraei tournés vers l'intérieur avec des disques solaires, le front ceint d'une large couronne, l'arête du nez aquilin dans le prolongement du front, les yeux incrustés d'un matériau blanc, les paupières et les traits de maquillage de verre bleu incrusté, les sourcils modelés en plâtre, les narines percées, la petite bouche aux coins tournés vers le bas, portant une inscription en hiéroglyphes peinte en noir, dont une bande transversale sur laquelle on peut lire: "Récitation d'Osiris Hor-em-akhet (?) né d'Aset--akhbit" et, trois colonnes plus bas: "Nut votre mère a fait pour nom de Shepet. Votre visage n'est pas tendu (?). L'au-delà...(?)en votre(?)en(?)son nom Nut(?)...le dieu, vous ne pouvez pas en votre nom de Dieu qui entraîne Re(?). Nous donnons(?), nous le plaçons sur le chemin(?), que vous puissiez entrer en célébrant(?)...de vos, chacun(?)pour(?)...Détenteur de la force(?)...Nous donnons..."

AN EGYPTIAN WOOD ANTHROPOID SARCOPHAGUS LID FOR HOR-EM-AKHET
ROMAN PERIOD, CIRCA 1ST CENTURY A.D.
Wearing a thick wig of echeloned curls with long lappets, overlaid with vulture wings behind the ears, the lappets terminating in thick bands, each with four inward-facing uraei with solar disks, a thick wreath across the forehead, the bridge of the slender nose forming a continuous plane with the forehead, the eyes inlaid in white material, the lids and cosmetic lines in blue glass set in plaster, the brows built up in plaster, the nostrils drilled, the small mouth downturned at the corners, with a black-painted hieroglyphic inscription, including a band across the body, reading: "recitation by the Osiris Hor-em-akhet (?) born of Aset--akhbit", and three columns below, reading: "...Your mother Nut has spread over her name of Shepet. Your face is not constricted (?). Heaven...(?) in you (?) in (?) her name Nut (?)...the god, you cannot in your name of god, who pulls Re (?). One gives (?), one places it on the way (?), that you may enter celebrating (?)...of your , every one (?) to (?)...Possessor of strength (?)...One gives..."
