The gilt dial with silvered roman and arabic chapter ring, pierced hands, the matted centre with mock pendulum, signed J. VAN CEULE LE JEUNE HAGA and date aperture, pierced foliate spandrels, strike/silent lever by XII, moonphase in the arch, the five pillar twin-fusee movement with anchor escapement, pull quarter repeat on three bells with hour strike on further bell, the shaped and engraved backcock to strike on further bell, the backplate engraved with scrolling foliage, the case with pineapple finials and carrying handle to the caddy top, pierced mount to the front door and glazed sides, the canted angles mounted with female masks and flower-sprays, the moulded base on bracket feet
